An average day in my role consists of dealing with various issues in the Water/Wastewater Plants as they arise. Operators come to me with technical issues, and I help them find solutions! Day-to-day, my work focuses on biosolids and facility inventories, and on determining the capabilities, quantities, and qualities of our biosolids.

What is the most valuable thing you have learned from being in this role?

The most valuable thing I’ve learned from being in this role is how to deal with information gaps and work with what we have.  

What has surprised you the most since starting your career here at OCWA?

What has surprised me the most since starting at OCWA is how many different types of plant systems there are that require different processes and information.
