Each year, International Women’s Day serves as a powerful reminder of the progress made towards gender equality and highlights the work that still needs to be done.

The 2026 theme is Give to Gain, emphasizing the power of reciprocity and support. When people, organizations, and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women increase. When women thrive, we all rise.

On International Woman’s Day and everyday we celebrate women at OCWA.

Please join us in welcoming David Donovan and Christopher Hilkene to OCWA’s Board of Directors! Their leadership, expertise and passion for advancing water stewardship will be invaluable as we continue our mission to deliver safe, sustainable and innovative water solutions across Ontario. We look forward to the insight and guidance they’ll bring to OCWA. Welcome, David and Christopher!

Hepworth Central Public School – Georgian Highlands Region

Justin and Tyler visited Hepworth Central Public School and shared their expertise with students through the OneWater program. Your hands-on knowledge and engaging presentation helped students connect classroom science to real-world water treatment and conservation.

Lynndale Heights Public School – Southwest Region

The OneWater Education Program is successful because of dedicated operators like Matthew, Tareesa and Ritchie who recently visited Lynndale Heights Public School. Your engaging presentation and insights helped students understand the vital role water and wastewater operators play in keeping our communities safe.
