Ontario Municipality Honoured for “Utility of the Future”

The Region of Waterloo has been honoured by the Water Environment Federation (WEF) as a leader in sustainability and resilience through the Utility of the Future Today program.

This year, WEF recognized 32 utilities for transformational work in community engagement, watershed stewardship and recovery of such resources as water, energy, and nutrients. Waterloo is the only Canadian honouree on this year’s list.

OCWA congratulates Waterloo on this prestigious award and is proud to work in partnership with the Region to provide wastewater treatment services.
