CEO Rob Andrews Retiring from the Ontario Clean Water Agency

January 9, 2017

After three years as President and CEO for the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA), Rob Andrews has announced his intention to retire, effective February 3, 2017.

OCWA has undergone a significant transition under Mr. Andrews’ leadership, becoming more efficient, client-focused and financially sustainable. Utilizing his considerable industry experience and thorough understanding of the needs of the Agency’s client base, Mr. Andrews has successfully led OCWA’s transformation into the dynamic, full-service organization that it is today.

“It has been my pleasure and privilege to have had the opportunity to lead the Ontario Clean Water Agency for the past three years,” said Mr. Andrews. “OCWA has some of the most talented and dedicated employees in the industry. The Agency’s new Executive Management and Regional Hub Management teams are results-driven, client-focused and have the necessary skills to deliver superior services to clients across Ontario. With this team in place, OCWA will continue to build on its strong track record of success for years to come.”

The Agency’s Board of Directors has recently begun the process of recruiting a new President and CEO and hopes to have a successful candidate in place later this year.

“It has been a great pleasure working closely with Rob over the years as he has implemented the Board’s vision for the future of the Agency,” said John Bergsma, Acting Chair of OCWA’s Board of Directors. “I am confident that he is leaving OCWA well positioned for the future, and in capable hands, with a strong Executive team in place to help manage the transition to a new CEO.”
