
OCWA is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, regularly promoting awareness and action at every level of the organization.
The OPS has its own Federated Health Charities Campaign that OCWA takes part in and OCWA also actively supports the United Way with a series of fundraising events.
We actively promote training for staff to advance their skills, attain additional certification, and continually enhance the quality of their work. Our managers participate in a leadership development program, currently with courses facilitated through the Schulich School of Business.
We host annual Employee Conferences to provide staff with continuous growth and learning opportunities and we also participate annually in both OPS and OCWA surveys.
A Healthy Living advocate program was recently launched across the Agency to encourage regional promotion of healthy living.
OCWAmarine awards recognize employee contributions with innovation, quality service and team building. OCWA’s Safety Awards publicly recognize the contributions that individual employees and groups make to promote healthy and safe OCWA workplaces each year.
