OCWA's Northeastern Ontario hub provided safe, clean water to 2,100 serviced trailer sites and over 70,000 visitors to the 2009 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo. The team virtually assured a trouble-free operation by doing the setup and coming up with an innovative method of feeding the system directly from the municipal supply, utilizing a reconditioned pressure-reducing valve recently replaced at another project. In using this method, the tankers were simply on emergency stand-by and their ability to precisely control the pressure led to very few breaks, with no interruptions in service.
