For the second year, OCWA employees, industry friends, and clients gathered to honour the memory of Gary Booth. This year's funds were donated to the Trillium Foundation Cardiac Challenge. In addition to fundraising for the community hospital, OCWA's annual event provided an opportunity to enjoy 18 holes at the Region of Peel's BraeBen Golf Course in Mississauga.
With friendly competitions, prizes, and raffles, the sold-out tournament drew over 150 enthusiastic participants to the afternoon of golf followed by an evening dinner and awards ceremony. Present at the event was the family of Gary Booth - a longtime Operations Manager at the South Peel facilities. Funds were matched dollar for dollar by Trillium's cardiac champions Nameh and Jacqueline Jabbour, bringing the total amount raised by OCWA's event to over $27,000.
The Ontario Clean Water Agency contributes to the health of Ontario communities by providing essential water and wastewater services. In addition to this vital role, our dedicated employees participate in activities and support events that strengthen the communities we serve. OCWA's South Peel Charity Golf Tournament is one such event.
